A Danville Unified District school bus was traveling eastbound on West Walnut Street and was in the process of making a left turn to travel northbound on South 3rd Street when the bus struck a pedestrian, Stephen Bruce, 70, of Danville, who was crossing the street. After investigation, it was determined that a silver Chevrolet pickup operated by Gary Johnson, age 70 of Eubank, KY, attempted a left turn from the right hand lane. One of the juveniles, age 14, was treated for a shoulder injury and taken via ground ambulance to Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center. Mr. Hurley was charged with Burglary 3rd Degree, Theft By Unlawful Taking Over/$500, and Unlawful Access To A Computer 1st Degree. Emergency crews treated Bruce on scene before transporting him via ground ambulance to Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center. Both men had their faces covered by either a ski mask or bandana.
