This album and Recession are two of the best street albums of that decade, easily.Man, this album and Urban Legend. It still gets mad credit to today when talking 00's dirty south rap.I was in highschool I'm Atlanta at the time.
This album from front to back has quotables for days.I feel like sonically rap has moved from the sounds of this album, but it still sounds incredible to me. Listen to Let’s Get It: Thug Motivation 101 (Deluxe Edition) by Young Jeezy on Deezer. Listen on Apple Music. He breathes hard on the track and stares down his microphone like it hates him. Hell it might be the best selling trap album ever.I was in middle school when this dropped and Jeezy's music was everywhere. Soul Survior, And Then What, Trap Star, and Trap or Die are definite stand outs on this album(no discredit to any of the other songs.) Released on July 26, 2005 by Def Jam Recordings. I really can’t compliment this album enough. Not too oftenI would argue that Jeezy is a less talented rapper for sure, but his musical ear is just as strong as T.I.His production, overall songs, and his delivery make up for his relatively mediocre bars.
My hood 10. Listen to Jeezy Radio featuring songs from Let’s Get It: Thug Motivation 101 free online. Listen to this album and millions more. Kanye and Wayne too obviously but T.I. Trap artists usually have a rough path ahead until they finally make it out. But back in the 2000s these guys were on top forreal. It was released on July 26, 2005, by his indie record label Corporate Thugz, under the distribution from Def Jam.
Plus his authenticity. CNN, … Bumping in someone's car.In the dorms? Then what 6. At times I just want to sit back and relax, listening to some slow hood-esque music. For Jeezy, it's the essence of his persona: maniacal shouting, catchphrases, euphoria, instant gratification. My personal favorites are Trap Star, Trap or Die, My Hood, and Soul Survivor. I think maybe because the younger demographic on this sub, lots of people on here probably didnt even know about Gucci like that until he was out of prison, and T.I. It's a joyous moment but also the scariest album opener I've heard this year.
Literally anywhere you went on campus you'd hear this album playing. In a parking lot? By now Da Snowman's ad-libs are things of legend. His delivery is obviously iconic at this point (and the ad-libs).
And it was guaranteed at parties.Absolutely classic album and takes me back toy college days.A classic album from top to bottom. Being from the east coast and hearing Trap Or Die was one of my first experiences with what would become the dominant sound over the next two decades. His direct lyricism and just the authenticity you feel in his lyrics was captivating. Young Jeezy doesn’t have much of a following on this sub and to be fair the quality of his music hasn’t aged as well as I would have hoped for. are doing; but if you're a trap fan I highly recommend this album.
's was literally called Trap Muzik, but I firmly believe this album was the most influential trap album in terms of overall sound. Plus And Then What and Go Crazy. Can't really vibe the same with Jeezy's newer music, but this album will always be one of my favorites. The intro still one of the better intros on a rap album in the past 20 years.Jeezy sound was so new and raw at this time. Sky's the limit 5. She bought this album. i'll try to find it.unfortunately, whoever threw this together totally changed the tracklisting to alphabetical order.anyhow, i found out the differences between the two versions. I know some say it was Trap or Die, but I still think TM101 is what really put him on the map. Everyone wanted a snowman t-shirt or chain.
Official Discussion threads are held to a higher standard of quality than First Impressions threads—try to expand on why you feel what you feel about the album.I feel like a lot of people don't bring up Jeezy much any more or discredit him because his music isn't as big as it was or because of his beefs with Freddie Gibbs or Gucci. This album is a trap staple.
