— SFV Server Status (@SFVServer) April 23, 2018 The “Guardian Hawk” will be be available for purchase once the servers come back up — or she’ll have landed in your game already if you picked up the Season 3 Character Pass. Either way, pro players and competitive gamers will no doubt be happy about this incoming update. But it gets better: it looks like the netcode update may finally be arriving for the game, fixing the quality of the title's long-plagued online matches.Players that have invested in the previous version of Street Fighter V could opt to upgrade their current package to the new version, or buy SFV as a whole new product with everything compiled. The updated, highly-polished version of the game ships complete with 40 characters, 34 stages and over 200 costumes to enjoy – it's truly a love-letter to the series. Capcom is finally rolling out a new netcode update to SFV to make the game a smoother, more enjoyable online experience on PlayStation 4 and PCIt's not an easy thing to do to rewrite netcode baked into an already-existing product, but we've seen two active Street Fighter V players (Alitmor and fluffysheap) publish homebrew patches for the game that aided in fixing the dodgy original netcode. It's got the potential to make Street Fighter V: Champion Edition even better than the sum of its myriad parts.Capcom released the definitive version of Street Fighter V on Valentine's Day (Feb 14th) which collected all the content released for the game so far in one package.Maybe Capcom took some inspiration from these coders when organising its new update? #SFV servers are down for maintenance. For Street Fighter V on the PlayStation 4, a GameFAQs message board topic titled "SFV Servers are down for Champion Edition update".
4 months ago. Thanks for your support! "Thank you for your patience and support!" It took Sajam or a japanese player's tweet for Capcom to acknowledge the netcode being shit for 3+ years? ?Does anyone know how much SFV population is from Japan VS the rest of the world ?There is nothing here that says anything about netcode. Then yesterday, the SFV Server Status account tweeted that the game will be taken offline for 4.5 hours as a new update is rolled out to the game.
