For those looking for a G700 replacement, this is definitely the mouse to get.The side buttons seem to be my kind of thing so I definitely consider them a pro, not a con. Sent video, they offered me a G604 (they don't have the G602 ATM), I took it, and I am waiting to arrive. Even those new to gaming will feel right at home with this mouse. But it's not perfect. Thanks for this. Those are where the upgrades end. Had a G602(loved the 6 side buttons) but it broke, receiver doesn't get detected by computer. I am … There is definitely charm in having having a heavy wheel, it adds to the physical feedback for me and I like how massive it feels. While trying to figure out how to enable side scrolling on the mouse I found I could put the mouse in on-board mode and completely disregard G-hub. Logitech G604 Lightspeed Review! You'd probably do better to stick with Logitech.I picked up the mouse thinking it would be a modern G700 I used it for a couple weeks and ended up returning it. The thumb wheel also supports gesture recognition. Would you recommend the G502 as a good replacement for my G700? $12.99 $ 12. Previously on Review Geek, I wrote a love letter to the Logitech G603, my favorite gaming mouse. I see no reason to go back to wired now. That’s because DPI is a mouse’s native sensitivity; a high DPI means the cursor travels farther in relation to your hand movements, allowing you to perform actions more quickly.Like all gaming mice, the G602 has its strengths and weaknesses when it comes to various video-game genres. That said, the max DPI isn’t spectacular, and there are really only six free buttons to mix up, which puts it out of the running for hardcore shooter/MMO gamers. The Logitech G602 is a formidable wireless gaming mouse from a company known for making considered, reliable peripherals. BTW the Ironclaw is very heavy (heavier than the 502 and 604) and has very poor reviews. IDK, maybe some of you might prefer a different sensation, but I was very surprised by them in a really good way and wouldn't change them for anything else. I got the G604 because with the addition of the infinite scroll wheel, that finally makes the mouse a G700 replacement or upgrade, because that's one of the main things that split apart the G700 and G602, along with side scrolling on the wheel. The G604 has Bluetooth where the G602 does not.My other con is that I was disappointed to see that Logitech chose to use the older, heavy steel scroll wheel on the G604 (like was used on the G700 and older G502's), instead of the newer, more lightweight scroll wheel found on the wireless G502 and G900/G903. I was miscasting etc.
I just would have preferred if it was sturdy with no wobble - closer to what my 1st edition G502 feels like - it has no rattle or very little at worst. In virtually every sense, the G604 can now be a direct G700 replacement due to the added scroll wheel features like infinite scroll and side/tilt scrolling. I love the 602 but the added height of the mouse vs the 502 gives me a bit of wrist strain after a few hours of use. Also the shape felt off compared to the G700 it just was not as comfortable. For the record, my daily driver is a wireless G502 since release, and the wired 502 Spectrum since release before that. A thumb-rest juts out from the side for added support and ribbed rubber improves grip when your palms get sweaty.
