The difference in the drag pressure is minimal and the smoothness and reliability are comparable.Personally, I have never fished with either of those rods so I could not make a recommendation. IMO, all you need is about 275 yrds of braid, that's it. Will get another 20K. I’ve seen these reels dropped, dunked, scraped, dragged and tossed around the boat, marina, equipment room and the back of the ute, yet they survive, and then perform the next day.We had the most amazing time!
